MKE Seasonal Collective started the way most good ideas do...over a conversation that probably should have been about something else.

Kelly has always loved the comfort of fall and all of the fall decor, alongside any reason to make a space feel intentional and warm during all seasons. When the opportunity came to elevate decorating and creating warm, welcoming spaces to others, she pitched the idea to her colleague Alex one day casually. Alex said yes before Kelly finished the sentence.
​
Both of us spend our days working in the nonprofit world, doing meaningful work we love for the Milwaukee community. And, we wanted something creative on the side. Something that lets us make things with our hands, connect with neighbors, and bring a little more warmth to the city we call home. Seasonal styling turned out to be exactly that.

MKE Seasonal Collective is the result: a two-woman business built on a genuine love of seasons, a deep appreciation for thoughtful hosting, and the belief that every Milwaukee home deserves a front door worth coming home to.

Kelly is the behind-the-scenes one: the planner, the list-maker, the person making sure there's always a warm welcome waiting. She brings 15+ years in nonprofit events, hosting, and leadership development, but really, she just loves bringing people together.

The collective started as a half-formed idea she pitched to Alex one day, convinced that Milwaukee, and especially fall in Milwaukee, was made for this kind of thing.

Alex has always believed that the smallest details can make a house feel like home. A former professional athlete who never lost her love for teamwork, she's happiest creating spaces that bring people together and make everyday moments feel a little more special.
​
Growing up in Milwaukee taught her to appreciate the beauty of all four seasons, but it wasn't until she spent more than a decade living away from home that she realized just how special they really are. Returning to Wisconsin gave her a renewed appreciation for everything from the first pumpkins of fall to the fresh blooms of spring, and that love for celebrating the seasons became the inspiration behind MKE Seasonal Collective.

When she's not styling porches or brainstorming the next big idea, she's chasing four kids, exploring Milwaukee with her family, or finding any excuse to be outside.
